陈阿土是台湾的农民，从来没有出过远门。攒了半辈子的钱，终于参加一个旅游团出了国。
国外的一切都是非常新鲜的，关键是，陈阿土参加的是豪华团，一个人住一个标准间。这让他新奇不已。
早晨，服务生来敲门送早餐时大声说道："Good morning！"
陈阿土愣住了。这是什么意思呢？在自己的`家乡，一般陌生人见面都会问："您贵姓？"
于是陈阿土大声叫道："我叫陈阿土！"如是这般，连着三天，都是那个服务生来敲门，每天都大声说："Good morningsir！"
而陈阿土亦大声回道："我叫陈阿土！"但他非常的生气。
这个服务生也太笨了，天天问自己叫什么，告诉他又记不住，很烦的。
终于他忍不住去问导游，"Good moring sir！"是什么意思，导游告诉了他，天啊！！真是丢脸死了。
陈阿土反复练习"Good morningsir！"这个词，以便能体面地应对服务生。
又一天的早晨，服务生照常来敲门，门一开陈阿土就大声叫道："Good moring sir！"与此同时，服务生叫道："我是陈阿土！"
这个故事告诉我们，人与人交往，常常是意志力与意志力的较量。

前阵子学校兴起了一阵养菇风，看着同学手上拿着登记单，我也想凑凑热闹，买甚么菇好呢？选了半天，还是黄金菇好了过年快到了有喜气的感觉，等了三天，终于等到一个太空包，但因为快期末考了，只好先搁置一旁。
考完后，开始养菇计画，首先开启风口，拿出美工刀再开盖处画个十字，接下来只要每天浇水就可以了，默默的等待菇的成长，它却没有任何动静，让我望 “菇”垂泪，直到某一天，才发现我的黄金菇已经偷偷探出头来，像个羞涩的小媳妇，我赶紧将盖子全部撕开，好让它见公婆，天啊！没想到短短一个礼拜，小菇纷纷窜出。
经过我细心的照料，菇菇从小点点状愈来愈明显，长成伞状后，就以两倍的速度快速成长，早上出门上学前和晚上放学后都可以看到它的不同，让我不想将视线移开，错过它的成长，终于它长得像“大树”一样，看着一朵朵的菇整齐排列着，金黄的颜色散发着光芒，真令人感动。
后来我和妈妈又买了玫瑰菇和蓝宝石菇，有了上次的经验，现在养起菇来特别得心应手，客厅里百菇齐放，也让我体会到养姑最重要的是耐心和爱心，就像爸妈照顾我们一样，才能成长茁壮。

"Very good, sit down please. "(很好，请坐)。受到英语老师的表扬，心里美滋滋的。没想到这个从边远农村转学来的、操着浓重的乡音、被同学们戏称为“变奏曲”的“乡里妹子”，能以准确流利的发音朝读课文。我望着躺在铬笔盒中的那面草绿镶边的小圆镜，内心涌起一层波澜，昔日的情景一幕幕浮现在眼前……
“哗……”课堂里响起一片哄笑声。我知道，这笑声是冲着我那蹩脚的英语发音来的。“呼，乡下妹子学外语?”“还是唱唱‘变奏曲’吧，哈哈…”
那天夜里，我失眠了。四周一片寂静，只有窗外的蟋蟀不时地鸣叫着。我坐在桌前，摆弄着手里的小镜子，心情怎么也平静不下来，课堂上那刺耳的嘲笑声冲击着我的耳鼓，刺激着我的神经。我焦虑、烦躁不安，手里的小镜子也仿佛要被我捏碎了。突然间，一股强烈的激情涌上我的心头:我就不信“乡里妹子”念不准那些洋字母!我拿起小圆镜，照着我的口型：“ ......”不知不觉，曙光已经照亮了窗口。
从此，这面草绿镶边的小镜子就时时陪伴着我，激励着我去冲击，去进取，它成了我最知心的伙伴和老师。虽然我听到过“哟，课间十分钟也要臭美啦”的潮弄声，也看到过放在我的铅笔盒中的写着“丑小鸭，照镜子，再照还是老样子”的纸条，可是我一拿起那面小镜子，就格外冷静和坚强。我的练习声音从不间断，它伴着我度过了一个个不眠之夜……
“黄菊花，”听到老师在叫我，赶忙站起来，“请你向同学们介绍一下你练习发音的经验吧。”我有些慌乱了，羞涩地低下头。这时，我的目光触到了铅笔盒中的小镜子，顿时勇气倍增。我庄重地拿起它，缓缓地说:“我的经验，都在这面镜子里。它，就是我的良师和益友。”教室里鸦雀无声。大家都叮着我手中的小镜子。突然，一阵热烈的掌声响起来了。这是理解和信任的掌声啊!我觉得眼眶湿润了，一股热流在脚中回荡。此时此刻，我什么也说不出来，只是举起了那面闪闪发光的小镜子，举了很久、很久……

文章通过表现“我”这个乡里妹子面对嘲笑和误解，坚持用镜子矫正口型，终于取得英语发音好成绩的事迹，表现了一个农村少年要强、自信，顽强进取的可贵品质。写法上采用了倒叙。文章开头，一个“乡里妹子”竟能以准确、流利的发音受到老师的表扬，以及她望着一面小圆镜内心涌起一层波澜这些颇为不寻常的情节，不能不引起读者的好奇和兴趣，必欲一睹全文为快，无疑这正是小作者采用倒叙手法的目的。当然其中也有暗示全文内容和中心的意图。叙述方式转换处过渡自然，结尾与开头呼应有致，使文章显得完整、严密。
